Hello! Let Me Introduce Myself

I am a bookworm and somewhat of a beauty and fashion enthusiast. I made this blog to document my travels, experiences and the things that interests me. This blog would serve as my journal that would chronicle everything that I have experienced especially the things that makes me happy. 

Graduated in 2006 with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and I'm a Certified Public Accountant. I'm a full time banker but, I do take some time off to do the things I enjoy. I like reading books, traveling, shopping, trying out new things and meeting genuine and friendly people.

1. What was the most exciting thing that happened to you in 2012? 

I think travelling to Bangkok Thailand with my friends was the most exciting thing that happened to me in 2012. We had such a great time exploring Bangkok and this was the first time that I get to travel with my girlfriends. Check out our adventure and Bangkok haul.

2. What was your favorite blogpost you posted this year? Why?

My favorite blogpost would be the August travels . The pictures from my trips with friends and co-workers were compiled into three separate videos. 

3. Best Blogpost of 2012? 

I love reading fashion blogs and I can't pick one as my favorite blogspot but my favotire blogger which I have a girl crush on is Camille. 

4. What was your favorite new product in 2012? 

Favorite new product would be the Revlon Kissable Balm Stain. Its a great and fuss free product. I could just slap it on like a regular lip balm then I'm good for the day. 

5. What new thing are you glad you tried in 2012? 

New thing? Hmmm... I tried eating authentic  Korean Food for the first time and now I'm addicted to it. If you like spicy food then you better try Korean food.

6. What's the most important lesson you learned in 2012? 

Well, I've learned to become more open to things and to not automatically reject things before I've tried it.  The only thing constant in this world is Change, I use to hate unfamilliar things because I like to have my routine and control. But in the past year I've learned to a become a little bit flexible. I've learned to not mind the small stuff and look at the big picture and to be less of a control freak and just be open to all the posibilies and oppurtunities. It is more fun that way!

7. What was the best movie of 2012?

Best Movie? That's dificult, hmmmm If I had to pick one, I'll go for "The Avengers" I really enjoyed that movie.

8. Best song? 

I'm a K-pop fan and the song that I literally had on repeat for a couple of months is "Haru-Haru" by Bigbang. 

9. Best TV show? 

I don't really keep up with TV shows becuase I'm always on youtube watching videos and reading manga.

10. What one product do you hope someone releases in 2013?

I wish that someone would release a full coverage foundation formulated for oily skin that would stay all day and will not budge or transfer. I love giving people hugs but I'm always afraid that my foundation would transfer on to their clothes. A product like that would be awesome.

: I've won Miss Love, She's got the looks and best in casual attire in a beauty contest at my elementary school. I've also received a silver medal in my computer subject in elementary.

: I play volleyball and table tennis but I'm not very good at it though.

: My first holiday with my family is going to Camiguin Island here in the Philippines and my out the country holiday with my friends is in Hong Kong.

: I love Sentro, it is a local restaurant here in my area where they make the best Pork Kawali.

: National Book Store. I simply love buying books and school and office supplies.

Magazine: I love reading a local magazine called Meg and Cosmopolitan Magazine.
Shoes: I love love love high heels.
But for days that I feel not dressing up I go for my trusty black converse.

♥ Coke or Pepsi? Definitely Coke. Pepsi is just too sweet for my taste.

Ice cream or frozen yogurt? Frozen Yogurt! I can eat tub after tub and not feel as guilty as I would feel if I ate Ice cream.

Clothes or makeup? This is a tough one. Hmmm I'm thinking make-up because I could be wearing the simplest basic clothes and have good make-up and I would still feel confident and fabulous.

♥ Hairspray or frizz lotion? Hairspray. Frizz lotion makes my hair look greasy and no one wants to look greasy.

♥ T.V or book? Book all the way. TV shows or even movies doesn't compare to the experience of immersing yourself in a good book.

♥ Pool or beach? Pool! I hate the sticky feeling I get after I get out of the sea.

♥ Sandals or boots? Boots because as much as possible I don't like to expose my toes. There is nothing wrong with my toes don't get me wrong, my toes are fine but I like the look of closed shoes like boots. I also like the edgy style so boots are my thing.



♥ Purse or backpack? I depends... Purse if I'm just running errands and going to work. Backpack if I'm travelling.



♥ Team Jacob or Team Edward? Team Jacob both in the book and movie. I want a guy best friend that would be there for me and love me the way I am just like Jacob loves Bella.

Wizards of Waverly Place or Hannah Montana? Hannah Montana. I like Miley Cyrus, I find her very entertaining.



♥ Mall or online shopping? Mall! I live in malls and my boyfriend works as an resident engineer of a local mall in our city so I love to window shop while waiting for him to get off work.



♥ Tennis or soccer? I have never tried both sports but I think I would fair well will soccer because I get to play with a lot of people.

♥ MAC or Maybelline? MAC is way superior!

25 FACTS FOR MY 25TH BIRTHDAY!

It is really true that after you turn 18 the years go by really fast. I could still remember my 18th birthday as if its was yesterday and now I'm turning 25 this coming August 29. My 18th birthday was extreemly special and such a fun time but that would be in a separate blog post. Thinking about it makes me giddy.

♥ Well I have done the all about me tag but those questions were pre-selected and it does give me much liberty to share things about myself. So for my 25th birthday I would share 25 facts about me that only a few of my friends know >_<

♥ The facts will not follow any order since I'll just write the first things that comes to mind.

1. I can tell from which part of my life I have met/encountered the person just by the way they say my name. I have so many different names/nicknames that's it funny sometimes especially on special occasions that the people I have known in my lifetime meet. So my parents and close relatives call me "Joy", "Joy-joy" or "Ate Joy", then my elementary/primary school friends call me "Christine Joy", my high school and college friend calls me by family name or my nickname"CJ", my co-workers and clients call me "Christine", one of my closest cousin calls me "Monster" which is the same name I call her and finally my boyfriend calls me "Mui". Other names used by my parents when they are mad at me is "Christina", "Marika" or "Tirang".

2. I have hypothyroid. I got diagnosed when I was about 20 yo.

3. I have a younger brother 2 years younger than me.


4. My closest friends are mostly guys. If you have seen my Singapore post you can see some of my good guy friends.

5. My best friend is my boyfriend who is also my childhood friend and crush.

6. I only started to wear make-up right after I graduated from University and started working.

7. I became interested in make-up right after I found the videos of elle and blair and other beauty gurus on YouTube. Up to this day I still watch beauty videos.

8. I have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Masters degree in Business Administration.

9. I plan to work and probably live abroad if permitted.

10. I took ballet and piano lessons when was young but I nothing to show for it.

11. I also took guitar lessons 2 summers ago but I stopped because I can't concentrate. My teacher was a young and handsome guy about 3 years my senior and it made me self conscious. If they have given me a older and unattractive teacher then I might have continued my lessons and became a rock star by now.hehe

12. I only got "F" mark once in my life. I was so devastated, it was during University where almost all of the class got a failing grade for that subject.

13. My favorite number is 9.

14. Two of my favorite colors are Red and Yellow.

15. Most of my clothes are in black, grey and brown. I don't why I just like the way the color looks on me.

16. In every year my birthday falls on the same day of the week as my boyfriend's birthday. This year our birthday falls on a Monday.

17. My favorite food is pizza and Buffalo chicken wings.

18. I name most of my special things. Ex: My Macbook is named "Wallie", my camera is named "Ice" and my piggy bank is named "Kuss-Kuss".

19. I am Imeldific when it comes to shoes, I am obsessed with shoes, I especially love high heels.

20. I love reading and collecting books. I am currently reading "Poor Little Bitch Girl" by Jackie Collins. Favorite book so far is the "Hunger Games Trilogy".

21. If given the option to work or go to school, I'd rather go to school and study than work. I'm a dork!

22. I also love collecting any type of pens. I love using them and writing list. I'm a avid list maker.

23. My favorite TV show is CSI and America's Next Top Model.

24. I have a vision board and I truly believe in the power of attraction.

25. Every year I always wish for the same thing for my birthday.
