Fashion Finds for the Month (June 2013)

I never planned to go clothes shopping this month but I was waiting for Sting to get off from work and as you may know he works as an Engineer in one of the big malls in our city so whilst waiting for him I  decided to look around and I came out with these items.

Blanc Noir Dress from SM 

 Body hugging printed dress that fits like a glove. I like it because it has sleeves and the length of the dress is not so short that you can see my bum when I bend over.he he I saw this on a mannequin and I just said to my self I need that dress of that mannequin right now.haha Don't mind my legs since the bruises from my allergy has not yet fully disappeared. I'll have to wait until my bruises are gone to wear this dress or any dress for that matter.

Folded and Hung at SM were having a massive clearance sale because they are closing down so everything was 50%. Most of the items were selling like pancakes but I managed to get one reversible jacket for my brother, blue shorts for Sting, and these two items for myself. 

Beating the Summer Heat

It may still be winter or spring in some other countries but here in the Philippines it is officially summer and it's scorching hot. I love summer because the weather is always bright and sunny but sometimes I find that the sun gets too hot that it would be uncomfortable to wear jeans and pants. So for those hot summer days here are my two go to outfits.

These outfits are perfect for running errands, weekend overtime at the office, and also hanging out with friends at the beach.  

Watercolor

I wore this outfit during the end of February. I know it was gonna be a hectic day at work since its month end. So, to prepare myself for the onslaught of transactions I wanted to wear an outfit that I can freely move in and I went with this colorful shirt and dark wash jeans combo. This outfit is comfortable enough to get me through the busiest day of the month and all those reports that I need to get done. So bring it on!

I've noticed that every time I wear this top, I always get complements, maybe people get attracted to the color. This top reminds me of a watercolor palette with all the colors mixed up together. I kept the accessories to a minimum since the top is loud enough.

Inexpensive Jewelry Haul

Me and my girlfriends went to our local market to visit Aizylim to get some inexpensive accessories and here is what I got.

These pieces was no more that Php 100 each roughly around $2-$3. I was on a hunt for long necklaces to pair with my plain shirts and I got this colorful one on the left and the double triangle necklace with Aztec design.

I'm really in to statement necklaces right now and those don't come cheap when you buy them at department stores, as you can see I love them triangle necklaces. There were also a lot of skull inspired pieces there that I liked but I limited myself to just picking one item because I don't want to look like the bride of skull boy. If you are ever in Cagayan de Oro, I suggest checking out Aizylim at Cogon market for some inexpensive accessories. Aizylim are the girly girls accessories heaven.

Outfit of the day chosen by my favorite nephew!

I was having a lazy Saturday morning when this 2 year old cutie-pie nephew of mine woke me up. He and his mom, Monster, were running some errands and they want me to tag along with them. As I as getting ready I asked Reren to pick my outfit for me and this is what he came up with.

He wanted me to wear an orange shirt (probably his favorite color) and I pulled out this shirt, he said, "that shirt will work tita!" He then said that tita should wear skirt and I chose this back one and he said "that will work". Finally, I showed him my small converse collection and he picked this charcoal one. We then wore our matching NY cap and he said "tadda! tita you look pretty!" Oh boy, I can see that this small guy gonna be a heart breaker when he grows up.

 Until this little guy grows up, he's gonna stay as my favorite playmate.

I Heart You Hoodie!

Hello! It's the month of hearts and I've decided to bust out this I heart U hoodie. 

It was a windy, gloomy afternoon and this outfit was perfect to keep warm and cozy while hanging out with my guy pals.

Since we were just having a chill day, I paired my hoodie with pleather shorts and my hi-tops converse. When I'm with my guy friends I like to dress comfortably and not too girly so I can keep up with them.

Monochromatic Friday

Hi, I was running late last Friday so I was not able to take pictures of my outfit at home. I had to make do with taking them at the office with my blackberry with the help of my friend Mia and Melvin.

Black is the color that I'm always comfortable wearing and I've always gravitated towards when I'm out shopping.  When I found this top felt that I just needed to have it and I was so excited to wear it.

Since the top was black with accents of white, I decided to go with monochromatic look by wearing white pants and black boots. This outfit is perfect for those days that you don't have the time to faff around to look for clothes that will work together.

Geometric Friday!

It's time for my Friday OOTD. I wear my office uniform from Monday to Thursday but on Friday's we get to wear casual and office appropriate clothes. So here's my outfit for the day.

I was experimenting on combining geometric patterned tops with earth tone colors and I found that cool colors work well with earth tones. I found that by layering this very loud geometric top with a brown blazer the colors of the top really pops. The eyes are automatically drawn to the colors and pattern of the top.

I paired the outfit with my Mango pants again because these pants are the comfiest pants I've ever owned and its very flattering for the figure. I also love that this blazer is so soft and warm plus it has grampa elbow pads although its not noticeable here in the pictures.

Accessories were kept to minimum because the top itself was so loud. I got my bracelet in a store located at our market place for a super affordable price. Click here to view my haul.

Topped the outfit with my studded boots for some added height. This gives the illusion of longer legs since both the pants and boots are of the same color.

Also did some hair experimentation. What do you think? Straight or Curly?

Porcupine Friday

Happy Friday Everyone!

I'm off to work and this is my outfit for the day. I'm actually wearing a dress as a top paired with some dark wash jeans and nude heels.
