Week in Pictures: Feb 17 - 23, 2013

This past week was definitely a FOOD week. I gained some pounds but there is no greater pleasure in life (aside from shopping) than enjoying a good meal with family and friends, so here we go.

My favorite order at Bigby's cafe
Blossoming Spinach dip, Zen Salad, and Plain Quesadilla
Renren at McDonald's playpen. If only I could join Renren in there, we would have a party with the other kids.
Trying out the food at Rango's.  New eatery in Divisoria near Jollibee Velez. It serves good food at an affordable price.
Thai Super bowl. Yum!
Sharing a cake with Mia (chocolate mousse) after a stressful day at work.
Saturdate with this little guy.
My favorite boys.
Total Knock Out!

So how was your week?

Inexpensive Jewelry Haul

Me and my girlfriends went to our local market to visit Aizylim to get some inexpensive accessories and here is what I got.
These pieces was no more that Php 100 each roughly around $2-$3. I was on a hunt for long necklaces to pair with my plain shirts and I got this colorful one on the left and the double triangle necklace with Aztec design.
I'm really in to statement necklaces right now and those don't come cheap when you buy them at department stores, as you can see I love them triangle necklaces. There were also a lot of skull inspired pieces there that I liked but I limited myself to just picking one item because I don't want to look like the bride of skull boy. If you are ever in Cagayan de Oro, I suggest checking out Aizylim at Cogon market for some inexpensive accessories. Aizylim are the girly girls accessories heaven.

Outfit of the day chosen by my favorite nephew!

I was having a lazy Saturday morning when this 2 year old cutie-pie nephew of mine woke me up. He and his mom, Monster, were running some errands and they want me to tag along with them. As I as getting ready I asked Reren to pick my outfit for me and this is what he came up with.
He wanted me to wear an orange shirt (probably his favorite color) and I pulled out this shirt, he said, "that shirt will work tita!" He then said that tita should wear skirt and I chose this back one and he said "that will work". Finally, I showed him my small converse collection and he picked this charcoal one. We then wore our matching NY cap and he said "tadda! tita you look pretty!" Oh boy, I can see that this small guy gonna be a heart breaker when he grows up.
Until this little guy grows up, he's gonna stay as my favorite playmate.
NY cap (old) * South Shores shirt * Skirt (thrifted) * Converse sneakers in Charcoal

I Heart You Hoodie!

Hello! It's the month of hearts and I've decided to bust out this I heart U hoodie.
It was a windy, gloomy afternoon and this outfit was perfect to keep warm and cozy while hanging out with my guy pals.
Terranova hoodie
Terranova pleather shorts
Since we were just having a chill day, I paired my hoodie with pleather shorts and my hi-tops converse. When I'm with my guy friends I like to dress comfortably and not too girly so I can keep up with them.
Bag from Bangkok (old)
Converse Slim Hi-tops in Charcoal
Revlon Lip balm stain in Smitten layered with Revlon Matte Lipstick in Cocoa Craving

It happens that it was drizzling a bit that day so this hoodie came in handy. hehe
Until next time, bye!

Monochromatic Friday

Hi, I was running late last Friday so I was not able to take pictures of my outfit at home. I had to make do with taking them at the office with my blackberry with the help of my friend Mia and Melvin.
Black is the color that I'm always comfortable wearing and I've always gravitated towards when I'm out shopping.  When I found this top felt that I just needed to have it and I was so excited to wear it.
Since the top was black with accents of white, I decided to go with monochromatic look by wearing white pants and black boots. This outfit is perfect for those days that you don't have the time to faff around to look for clothes that will work together.
Oxygen button down top
Revlon matte Lipstick in Cocoa Craving  *  Necklace from Bangkok (old) click here to see the haul.
Mango pants
Centropel boots
I think that this outfit would look good with the hair up. What do you think?

Until next time, bye!

Valentine's Day

It's Valentine's day and almost all of the people are spreading the love. Couples going on dates, singles going to parties with friends to celebrate their singleness or independence as some call it and some chooses to spend Valentine's day with their families at home. Well, I would describe my Valentine's day as definitely a happy one, filled with love, laughter, and fun.

I had to work so I made no plans for the day, it was all up to Sting since he had the day off, all I know is we're gonna meet after work to have dinner somewhere. I arrived at work and found a beautiful bouquet waiting for me on my table with a card saying Happy Valentine's day and I love you from Sting.  It was so unexpected and so sweet of him. I also got some flowers and sweet pastries from some of my co-workers and friends which made my day extra special.

Since it's Valentine's day and I received flowers that will wilt after a day and cakes that I'll consume, I took a lot of photos to remember it by and here they are.
Got this beautiful bouquet from my boyfriend (Sting). This was the first Valentine's gift that I received for the day. He's not one to give flowers since he knows I feel sad when they eventually wilt but it sure does feel good to receive a lovely bouquet such as this.
Got this delicious rum cake from a co-worker Sir Ed. This was so yummy!

Every female employee in our office received a single red rose from our boss Sir Neogen. Never had a boss that was so thoughtful and its little gesture like this that make employees feel appreciated.
Ladies of the Accounting department posed for a picture to send to our boss as thank you for the roses.
My good friend Winston went above and beyond and gave me this delicious red velvet cupcake which he baked himself and this adorable bouquet.
I love these flowers, I'll enjoy and appreciate them while they're still beautiful.
My friend Mia also got flowers from Winston as well as two lovely ladies namely Kaycee and Lovely Jane. Honestly, I've never met a guy who is thoughtful enough to buy us four girls a bouquet each. It must have cost him a lot because the price of flowers during Valentine's day is extortion. Thank you Winston!
Goofing around with Miss Pami.hehe
These are all that I got for Valentine's day or whats left of it. I could not control myself, I already ate the rum cake and all that's left is that heart shaped card that I stuck behind the cupcake.
 Finally met up with Sting

In the end we spent our Valentine's dinner with family. We ordered food to go since restaurants and diners were packed and it was nice to spend time with my family.  My Valentine's day may not be as romantic as those in the movies but I would not have it any other way. Thank you to Sting, Winston, Sir Ed and Sir Neogen for giving me those beautiful flowers and pastries. You guys really know how to spoil a girl.
