Review: Revlon Age Defying Foundation with DNA Advantage

I picked up this Revlon Age Defying DNA Advantage during one of my hauls before and I've have been using it for over a month now and here are my thoughts about this product.

Initially, I bought this one because it claims to have powerful anti-aging skincare properties to help protect skin from visible signs of aging. So I thought, a foundation with skincare properties hmmm... your coming home with me!

This product gets an A for packaging. The packaging is hard plastic and it has a posh pump which is so convenient compared to the Revlon colorstay foundation. The pump just dispenses enough product and you have some degree of control over it by doing half pump or a full pump.
This is about half pump of the product. The consistency is creamy and not runny.

when blended

This products blends well and it provides light to medium coverage. It also has a dewy finish which is really bad for my oily skin. I'm guessing that the dewiness of the finish is due to the skincare properties infused in this foundation. The product is beautiful but I was patting a whole lot of setting powder  to mattify my face. The product also has this very weird scent. I don't really like the scent thankfully the scent fades out after a while.

I'd say this foundation is good for people with dry to normal skin. I don't think this would work for oily face folks out there like me. The products feels good on the skin, it does not break me out with is good and I feel that it does hydrate my skin. However, it does make me look super shiny which is not attractive. Never fear, I found a way to make this foundation work for me. I mixed it my other high coverage foundation to add a little dewiness to the finish and I'm loving it.

  1. I was curious about this one. I have an oily face too, so maybe I'll stay away from it. Otherwise sounds amazing!

    1. Thanks for stopping by. I love your outfit posts! I'm so envious you get to layer as much as you want because you have winter season while we only have wet and dry season here in the Philippines. I'm following you on Bloglovin. :)
